Aquasziget Esztergom

You must have seen or heard about the renowned Basilica of Esztergom, one of the largest in Europe, dominating the city from its heights, right?
And now you’re planning to visit it?

Get ready, because you will also have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing break at the Aquasziget aquatic and thermal complex, just a stone’s throw from the Basilica, which has just reopened after a thorough transformation in 2021! These recent renovations at all levels turn it into one of the most modern thermal complexes in the country, where you will find virtually the entire range of activities and services that a large Hungarian spa can boast, including no less than ten indoor and outdoor pools.

The indoor area is open all year round and offers a wide variety of pools:
Some are for swimming, others are equipped with geysers and neck showers for relaxation, Jacuzzis, two slides and a dedicated area for children.

Not far from these pools you will find a buffet-brasserie service and many deckchairs on the terrace.
The outdoor area has something for the youngsters with a wave pool, slides for the little ones and two extra-long slides for the older ones of 72 and 93 metres.

The wellness area has everything your body will need to regenerate, like themed saunas, with animated sessions offered, whirlpool, sensory showers, massages, as well as a fitness room, something less common.
Part of the Aquasziget’s wellness area is naturist, which means more precisely that the use of swimming costumes is not recommended for the sake of air quality in the saunas. Towels are therefore provided at the entrance to the area.

Medical treatments are also available in the spa area: underwater massage with jets, gas bath, traction and stretching baths, medical massages, group gymnastics, hydrotherapy, mechanotherapy, electrotherapy…
