In 1743, the spa's first building was made out of wood in Miskolctapolca. Rebuilt for the first time in 1837, then officially recognized as a leisure centre in 1934, its first caves were built in 1959, and progressively extended until 2005 to reach the current configuration, unusual and labyrinthine.

The spa of Miskolctapolca, located in a cave above natural underground hot springs, is unique in Europe. The water temperature of 30 °C and the particular climate inside the cavern have a curative power, especially on joint diseases and inflammation.

You'll have the privilege of swimming in underground passages shaped by nature over thousands of years, and also hear the echo of our “starry" naturally dome-shaped room, unique in Europe.

The entire complex offers you an area of 9.3 km2 with 6 swimming and smaller relaxing pools which will provide you with a variety of pleasant experiences. Plan at least 2.5 hours in order to allow yourself to enjoy all the places at your disposal without feeling rushed. The entire complex has easy access for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Float Spa
Float on the surface of a super-saturated 25% salt water solution.
Refreshing massages
Treatment is done by hand with high-quality massage oils and creams. The herbal essence of the oils will soak deep into your skin, giving a long-lasting positive effect.
Lymphoid massage
The purpose of lymphoid massage is to clear the tissues of toxins and water that have built up due to disorders of the lymphatic system. It can also eliminate oedema (swelling) and improve the body’s resistance to disease and the speed of cell metabolism.
Detoxification and treatment of allergies
These treatments provide an alternative treatment approach to allergic diseases such as respiratory disorders, dermatological disorders, chronic upper and lower respiratory diseases, and chronic arthritis. These treatments help the immune system and the nervous system (in particular the involuntary nervous system) to work together in harmony.
Relaxing and pain-relieving treatments
By applying flexible patches (known as Kinesis tapes), we can help the body to use its own self-curing mechanism. This will allow the body to treat musculoskeletal problems, rheumatological problems, traumatology after surgery, sports and other injuries, and lymphoid circulation problems.
Fish pedicure (currently unavailable due to technical reasons)
You can have smooth feet with the help of the doctor fish! Half of the world has been conquered by this skin-softening foot care.
