The Veszprém county borders the entire north coast of Lake Balaton. Its main city bears precisely the same name as the county: Veszprém, which is one of the most important historical centres in the country. About 20km to the south, you will come across Balatonfüred, a very dynamic place with a marina, numerous restaurants and shops as well as a beautiful promenade on Lake Balaton. Between Balatonfüred and Tihany, you will find the large Annagora Aquapark, which is very popular with tourists during the summer.
